WATCHES

BIRDMAN® is the original skydivers brand that is first to introduce unique timekeepers for the brave. These exclusive instruments have been designed to work and function in most extreme conditions, to withstand velocity and G –force’s that can break a man. Like all parachute equipment design, the design follows it’s main objective, to tell the time at all conditions, but with unmistakable and uncompromising style.

 

In it’s heart ticks the finest made electro – mechanical Swiss quartz movement that is engineered to accuracy and exceptionally long battery life. The case is grafted from aerospace grade 316-L stainless steel and a limited edition comes with black PVD coating. The blue-tinted, non-reflective and virtually scratchproof sapphire crystal can take harder hit than human can stand. The no-nonsense face is made of real carbon fiber and design has it’s distinctive altimeter look familiar to all aviators. Both crown and the case back are screwed down to make the timepiece water resistant to 100 M / 10 ATM. The straps are made from a real parachute nylon that can stand thousands of KG’s of sudden or sustained pull or classical thick calf leather for more formal occasions.

 

This special edition series is all serial numbered, certified with international 2 – year limited guarantee and is offered with an optional custom grafted case back engraving (your license number, birthday, greetings, etc.). The watch comes in a black aluminum case.

WINGSUITS

The BIRDMAN® wingsuits are designed by Jari Kuosma and Shin Ito. The design philopsophy carries Jari's almost 15 years of of experience in wingsuit designing and Shin's 25 years experience in skydiving. 

 

The wingsuits are drawn using CAD technology and built following the best standards of Japanese workmanship and quality. You will immediately see and feel the the quality of this product once introduced. 

 

Innovation - Differing from any other wingsuit manufacturer BIRDMAN® uses the technology it invented: Quattro – wing system, as basic platform for the wingsuits.

Admittedly much more complex and expensive to build compared to single-, and tri-wing technologies Quattro-wing technology gives us an edge in aerodynamics by reducing the drag and allowing us to build a more detailed wing. Our "F-Duct" drag reduction system is used in every suit. 

 

Materials - The wingsuits are built using robust 210 D zero-porosity fabric, temperature proof BoPET polyester film, 10 mm wide reinforced YKK zippers and temperature and moisture controlling technical inner lining from Japan for comfort.

Aerodynamics - BIRDMAN® wingsuits are designed for 50 – 50 balance. We understand that suits that are built more “nose-down” feel “faster” in natural flight but at the same token our philosophy has always been that we don’t want to limit ourselves to such a narrow performance window but to actually give pilot more range of performance from cruising and flocking speeds to extremely fast that create awesome lift and agility.

 

Style - The shape does not only follow the function but we have also used lines from universal geometry that we can find from all over the nature.

Inspirational ideas:

 

HERITAGE. An example of a collection was the Heritage collection. We wanted to respect the peers in history with a birdman heritage collection that drives it's inspiration from the legendary birdmen and -women who lived and died during those early days of the sport. Men and women like Charles Lindberg, Amelia Enhart and many others who pushed the limits of bravery by carrying out the acts that now have a place in aviation history.

 

We still believe that anything built to save your live must be built to perfection. The air brand could carry earthly colors and  built using premium fabrics and techniques. Usage of highly durable and functional materials in the spirit of the parachute harness and we used metal parts, grommets and hooks known from skydiving creating a very unique look and feel. 

 

The collection may look heritage from outside but it had a modern heart and so was the technology used to build them. We haven't forgotten the modern day adventurer. 

 

SPORTS.    The  BIRDMAN@ brand is the "FERARRI® of Aviation. The BIRDMAN TOPGUN TEAM is a team of Athletes who are ranked as the "Kimi Räikkönens" of the Sky.  With this saying, it is clear that the brand has a strong  extreme sports profile. With  it´s deep read colors and  athletic  which provides the licencee a great opportunity for manufacturing both Sports equipemnt and Clothing for outdoor and indoor sports.
